LAYING TECHNOLOGY
Art. 45
1 - Spreading of a coat of Primer on the bottom,
by the hole.
2 - Spreading of a thin membrane piece, 50x50
cm., make it adhere to the bottom after heating
it by torch. If, on the contrary, the waterproof
mantle is composed of more layers, the drain shall
be laid after the first layer and the piece is
suppressed, make sure that the grade of the housing
is 3°.
3 - Try the drain in the hole and, at the same
time, mark the point to cut in relation to the
thickness of the wall. The cutting of the pipe
(shaft) shall be made in such a way that the lower
part is 5 mm. longer than the higher one, in case
this is used with curves art. 46 and 47. But if
the drain is placed in the box art. 118, it shall
be cut at 45° (see drawing A).
4 - By means of a torch, heat the piece
laid as point 2 (or the first layer) and
make the drain flange adhere.
5 - Smear with liquefied paste obtained
from a piece of membrane heated with torch,
filling all the flange ribs.
6 - Spread the last layer of the waterproof finishing
mantle. It is advisable to heat it well in the
area of the drain flange and that it adheres to
the whole surface.
7 - Before inserting the curve, pass a mastic
cord suitable for rubber of the Bostik 292
type by Boston. After having inserted the curves,
make sure that the drain pipe is inserted in the
four
tangs that are inside the curves. The curve can
be inserted in the box (as at point 3).
8 - Insert the Leafgrate/Gravelgrate - art. 44.1.
